EA APP DEVELOPMENT

Graphic design: Juwad Malik

Icons/Thumbnails: The EA Sports app is designed to mimic news, sports, and social media apps. As part of this, there are several key branding elements that needed exploration and development to help elevate the app. I created a look and feel for our thumbnails and icons to help make the app feel more consistent within the EA branding world

Over time, it became clear that the app was receiving many creative requests, and the motion team lost sight of what was live and where it lived. As a solution, I created a live catalogue of our current graphics that were in use, archiving everything that was no longer in use. From this point, we were able to showcase the look of the graphic, its intended use, name and where the team could find it. helping to reduce the requests the team had and showcasing active or archived graphics that could be built on.

For the app 'always on' story moments, we needed a series of graphics that the publishing team could use. This would be a mix of graphic design slates, motion design edits and mogrts. The idea was to supply good content that would be easy to replace and create

EA wanted to deliver hero content that would stand out from the usual 'always on' world. This was our chance to show off some more immersive motion design; each feature would have its own theme, which we would develop to then create custom graphics and motion pieces for.
